The lens focusing action is slightly sticky compared to a typical FD 50mm f/1.8, and there are signs that minor corrosion and surface rust had begun developing before restoration. Fortunately, these issues were addressed during servicing and the camera now functions properly. In many ways, this camera was brought back from the brink and serves as a testament to how durable the AE-1 Program platform truly is.
