Refund policy
Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to products and services purchased directly from Legacy Photo Lab, owned and operated by Omni Photo Services LLC.
Because Legacy Photo Lab provides a combination of retail products, custom photographic services, film processing, scanning, printing, and digital delivery, different return and cancellation rules apply depending on what you purchased.
1. Film Processing, Scanning, and Lab Services
Film development, scanning, printing, digitization, restoration, and other photographic services are custom services and are generally non-refundable once work has begun.
Film processing is irreversible. Once film has entered processing, the processing portion of the order cannot be canceled or refunded because the service has already begun and the original film has been materially altered through development.
Scanning, printing, and other custom work that has already been performed is also non-refundable except where required by law or where Legacy Photo Lab determines that we failed to perform the purchased service correctly.
If Legacy Photo Lab makes a processing, scanning, printing, or fulfillment error, please contact us promptly. Where appropriate, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Legacy Photo Lab may choose to correct the service, re-scan, reprint, replace the affected item, issue store credit, or refund the amount paid for the affected service.
Refunds are not provided solely because film contains no usable images or because photographic results differ from expectations when the result is caused by factors outside Legacy Photo Lab's control, including exposure, camera malfunction, expired or damaged film, light leaks, prior storage conditions, film manufacture, customer handling, or other characteristics inherent to analog photography.
2. Digital Products and Scan Downloads
Digital scans, downloadable files, and other digital products are final sale once they have been created, delivered, made available for download, or accessed by the customer.
Digital files cannot be physically returned. If you experience a genuine technical problem with a file delivered by Legacy Photo Lab, contact us so we can determine whether the file can be replaced, re-created, or re-delivered.
Customers are responsible for downloading and backing up their digital scans. Scan availability and retention are governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
3. Custom Prints and Personalized Products
Custom prints, enlargements, photo products, special-order products, personalized items, and products manufactured or ordered specifically for a customer are final sale once production has begun, except when the item is defective or Legacy Photo Lab made an error in fulfilling the order.
Differences caused by monitor calibration, crop selection, photographic exposure, film characteristics, or reasonable variations in color, density, contrast, or print production do not automatically constitute a defect.
4. Retail Merchandise Returns
Eligible non-custom physical merchandise may be returned within 14 days of purchase or delivery.
To qualify for a return, the product must:
- be unused and in substantially new condition;
- include its original packaging, accessories, manuals, and components;
- include proof of purchase; and
- otherwise qualify for return under this Policy.
Legacy Photo Lab reserves the right to refuse a return if an item shows signs of use, damage, modification, misuse, missing components, or condition changes that occurred after the item was sold.
5. Non-Returnable and Final-Sale Items
Except where required by applicable law, the following are final sale and are not eligible for return or refund:
- film processing and lab services once work has begun;
- completed scanning services;
- digital scans and downloadable files after delivery or availability;
- custom prints and personalized products after production begins;
- opened photographic film;
- opened chemicals or other consumable photographic products;
- gift cards, except where applicable law requires otherwise;
- special-order merchandise;
- clearance or final-sale merchandise when identified as final sale;
- items damaged through customer misuse, accident, modification, or improper storage;
- shipping charges, except where required by law or caused by our error; and
- services that have already been performed.
6. Cameras, Electronics, and High-Value Merchandise
Eligible cameras, electronics, and other high-value merchandise must be returned in the condition in which they were sold, together with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, cables, batteries, and included items.
Approved returns of non-defective merchandise that has been opened or is no longer in new condition may, where permitted by law, be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%.
Restocking fees will not be imposed solely because an item was defective when sold or because Legacy Photo Lab shipped the wrong item.
7. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Merchandise
If you believe you received an incorrect, defective, or shipping-damaged product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
We may request photographs, packaging, serial numbers, order information, or other reasonable documentation needed to evaluate the problem.
Depending on the circumstances, the available remedy may include repair, replacement, exchange, store credit, or refund, subject to applicable law and any applicable manufacturer warranty.
8. Cancellations
Retail product orders may be canceled before fulfillment when cancellation is operationally possible.
A request to cancel does not guarantee that an order can be stopped once fulfillment, production, shipping, film processing, scanning, printing, or other custom work has begun.
Custom photographic services, film processing, scanning, printing, and other made-to-order services become non-cancelable once the applicable work has begun.
If we are able to cancel an unperformed portion of an order, any approved refund will apply only to the portion that has not already been performed, produced, fulfilled, or otherwise incurred, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Return Authorization
Please contact Legacy Photo Lab before mailing a return.
Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to the sender.
To request a return, contact:
Please include your name, order number, item being returned, and reason for the return.
10. Return Shipping
Unless the return is the result of an error by Legacy Photo Lab or otherwise required by law, the customer is responsible for all return-shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable except where required by law or where the refund results from our shipping or fulfillment error.
Approved mailed returns should be sent to:
Legacy Photo Lab
5033 Camp Bowie Blvd
Fort Worth, Texas 76107
United States
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method and appropriate insurance for valuable returns.
Legacy Photo Lab is not responsible for a customer return shipment that is lost or damaged before it is received by us, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
11. Inspection and Approval of Returns
Receiving a returned product does not automatically mean that the return has been approved.
Returned merchandise may be inspected to confirm eligibility and condition. We will notify you if the return is approved, denied, or requires additional information.
If a returned item is materially different from the condition represented by the customer, is missing components, or otherwise does not satisfy this Policy, Legacy Photo Lab may deny the refund or reduce it where permitted by applicable law.
12. Refunds
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method.
After Legacy Photo Lab issues a refund, the time required for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, payment processor, and payment method.
Legacy Photo Lab does not control processing delays imposed by banks or payment providers after a refund has been successfully submitted.
If you believe an approved refund has not been received after a reasonable processing period, contact us at info@legacy-photolab.com.
13. Sale, Promotional, and Clearance Items
Merchandise identified as final sale is not returnable except where required by law.
Other discounted merchandise may be eligible for return only if it otherwise satisfies this Policy.
14. Gift Purchases
Refunds for purchases made as gifts are generally returned to the original payment method used to purchase the item.
Legacy Photo Lab may, at its discretion, offer store credit or an exchange instead where appropriate.
15. Payment Disputes
If you believe you were billed incorrectly or have a problem with a Legacy Photo Lab transaction, please contact us so we have an opportunity to review and resolve the issue.
If a payment dispute or chargeback is submitted, Legacy Photo Lab may provide the applicable payment processor, bank, or card issuer with relevant order, fulfillment, delivery, account, and communication records necessary to respond to the dispute.
16. Third-Party Purchases
This Policy applies only to purchases made directly from Legacy Photo Lab.
Products purchased from another retailer, marketplace, manufacturer, or third-party seller are subject to that seller's return and refund policies.
17. Rights Required by Law
Nothing in this Policy is intended to eliminate or restrict a customer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
Where applicable law requires a different return, cancellation, refund, warranty, or consumer remedy, the applicable legal requirement will control.
