The Nikon FM3A is a fully mechanical camera. This means it does not require batteries to operate the shutter. The 2x LR44 batteries are only used to power the camera’s light meter and for aperture-priority mode.

The Nikon FM3A was Nikon's last great mechanical film camera. Almost 20 years after the release of the FM2, they released this monster of a camera, at a time when they had already released several digital cameras.

It was built to last and built for the most demanding of film photographers. We think this camera is one of Nikon's best.
