Aerial stock, repurposed for stills

Karmir 160 starts life as Kodak AEROCOLOR IV aerial film — a rare emulsion never meant for camera-store shelves. Spooled for 35mm stills cameras, it has become an exceptional alternative to mainstream 35mm color negative stocks: impressive sharpness, striking contrast, and a refined grain field that keeps images crisp and clean.

Colors are vivid and saturated, with cooler highlights, warmer shadows, and reds pushed to the forefront of a mostly natural palette. Rated at ISO 160/23° after extensive testing, its broad spectral sensitivity and extremely wide dynamic range let you expose it anywhere from 50 to 800 ISO — and pushing or pulling shifts color contrast, grain, and other image qualities, making it an ideal tool for creative experimentation and finding a look that's truly yours.
