What is the difference between 120 and 220 film?
120 and 220 film share the same basic format and width, but 220 is roughly twice as long. A typical 120 roll provides 12 or 16 exposures, while 220 can provide 24 or 32 exposures, depending on the camera and frame size.
Because 220 film is longer, it requires a camera back designed to accommodate it. If your lab charges the same processing fee for 120 and 220, the longer roll can also be the more economical choice.
