Originally coated for aerial vegetation mapping, Film Washi Z is a near-infrared sensitive black and white film repurposed for still cameras. Shoot landscapes and watch the sky go dark, greens go white, and contrast push in ways standard panchromatic film can't touch — even under flat, overcast light.

Add a red filter to push the infrared effect further. Skip it for a subtler, high-contrast look with exceptional green separation. Either way, this film rewards deliberate shooting.

Handcrafted and converted by Film Washi in Saint-Nazaire, France — the world's smallest photographic film manufacturer.

  • Format: 35mm
  • Exposures: 24

Heads up: This film has an extended leader to prevent light piping. Shoot 3 blank frames before starting your roll.

Tip: Use a red filter to maximize the infrared effect.
